Arriving in the USA just ahead of the 2015 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), the all-new Scion iM was under tight wraps to keep information secret. Not to be leaked to the general public until the day of its release, the iM was labeled “code red” and kept under tight scrutiny with limited access.
No pressure then when we were tasked with producing a 30-sec spot that would be the Scion iM’s first ever appearance in media. Matching the iM’s ethic of usable, energetic fun, we conceptualized a fast moving spot that utilized color and movement to accent the car’s character. Highlighting the hatchback’s space and function, the video would amass 1.1 million views in its first month.
